December's Photo A Day

I am doing Fat Mum Slim photo a day challenge.  So far, I've been doing it all via iPhone and uploaded them to instagram.   I will get the photos from December 1st to 10th posted on here.   

Shuttercal

I just discovered Shuttercal! OH MY! I love it!!  Too bad, it is geared toward to iPhone, but you can set up with android and upload from the website.  I've been working on mine today.  My account is private, but if you're on shuttercal and want to check it out. It'll be all ready and set to go once I get the iPhone in my hand in February! Can not wait.   I am uploading pictures here and there for previous months. 

Feb 25, 2012 (Another one! :) )

The boys and Jeff met up with Mike up on his parent’s farm.  The family LOVE to go up there. They get to do all kind of stuff such as shooting off some ammunitions, ride go-carts and the mules.  It is also a beautiful place to go to! It is a little over an hour drive to get there.  (pictures are NOT in order!)

Jeff had told Aiden a secret which contained surprise for all 3 boys, however, Jeff decided to tell Aiden.  Aiden just was so excited about it! I can not tell you until Jeff has it in his hand and once that happens. I will post the pictures. It is supposed to be here this evening. (Update 2/28 - the surprise was delayed due to shipping issues - so it is supposed to be here TONIGHT on 2/28)

This  dog is goofy!  He's  actually barking @ the  kitchen because there are some food left on countertop from dinnertime.   He started doing this when we moved into this  house last year.   So, we can not go to bed until the  kitchen is free of food or he will bark all night.  Silly,  I know.

After 4 years of treatments - Spring expanders, retainers and braces - now he’s in the final stretch. He has to wear his retainer for 1 to 1 1/2 years. He was so thrilled!

I had just happened to look outside from the dining room window and noticed there was tons of birds on the back line (which is on the far left side - not in picture) and it’s by the alley, except that there just ONE little bird sitting on the cable line closer to the house. So, I thought this is perfect shot. Loved how the picture turned out!

It was SO nice outside today! I opened all the windows. This is VERY rare to have 60 + degree in the middle of January! We’re normally anywhere from 10’s to 30’s at this time of the year!  It felt like spring! I felt like I was doing spring cleaning with the windows opened!  I saw Metzger sitting in front of the door looking out and had to snap this photo!  He’s 5 years old rottweiler and a big baby!

We were supposed to have a busy day which consist cleaning and laundry. After getting two loads of laundry and the kitchen is not cleaned up, Jeff and I said the heck with it and decided to just have a lazy Sunday.  So we popped in Season 2 of SG-1 Atlantis and just relaxed! Roxie decided she wanted to get up on the couch and find a spot and get warm. LOL!

This is the NEVER-ENDING laundry! LOL! If I don’t stay on the top of it – this is what happened after 6 days for family of 5. I usually try to do them on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. However, this week got away from me so I didn’t do them this week.   Thankfully the laundry chute is in the hallway and this is in the basement so no one can see it!!   Looks like laundry day today and tomorrow for us!

This is now my life line. I had the surgeries back in August 2008 and December 2008. I have no regrets whateverso, even when I was battling staph infection in March of 2009.  It was a very hard and long recovery. It was discovered in February 2009 that I had somehow contacted staph infection in the incision and it wasn’t until May 2009 that I was fully recovered from it. I do have nerve damages from the repeated surgeries to close it up, 3 times to be exact.  Even it was very painful and very tiring journey, I was asked if I would had done it again if they had to take the original one out. I said YES.

On the 12th of each month, this is where I will be taking 12 photos. I am doing 12 – 12 – 12. It’s a scrapbooking project where we take 12 photos on the 12th day of the month for 12 months.  This is only 8 photos out of the 12 that I chose to post.  the other 4 are in the same scenes as some of the photos. Didn’t see the point of posting those. So I just chose 8 for this one.

Here’s the Chicken Noodle and Dinner Roll. Yummy!! What a perfect timing to have them! It was COLD outside!  Winds were just horrible – gusting up to 35 MPH and pushing the temperature to around 16 degree!
